Spirituality is a phenonomena,  everyone has his own definitions.People from different religion,different cultures have totally different definitions of god,spirituality and belief.Although i belong to a hindu family i find my customs of worship very tacky . So usually i never go to any religious places.

But i am not an atheist so recently i went to Banaras (Oldest city & spiritual city of India.) nd i found it worth going.

BANARAS

Although Banaras is called Varanasi .But i like to call it Banaras as i like this word more as it gives the city essence. banaras is a small city of Uttar Pradesh, India. Small narrow roads surrounded by small shops and restaurants. It somewhere connect to my hometown, simple & sweet people. Banaras has lots of attraction in which very famous are Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Also called Golden Temple) , Ganga ghats and Dhamek stupa.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple

It is very famous temple of Lord Shiva.Thousands of pilgrims come to Banaras to visit this temple.Its top is of gold. Here is one of twelve Jotirlingas . Thats Why it is very famous religiously.

Ganga Ghats

There are 88 ghats situated on the bank of ganga river. But Dashashwamedh ghat ,Manikarnika ghat, sant ravidas ghat, tulsi ghat etc are famous ghats.It is best to stay near any of ghats to explore walking to ghats ,I stayed near assi ghat. These ghats are my favourite as we get the opportunity to sit calmly at the stairs infront of holy river ganga .We can go for boating there.i enjoy both sunrise and sunset boating there.i felt warmth of ganga by being there only so we call it maiya. its fast flowing water gives your mind a pause and you feel sacredness of holy ganga.

Dhamek Stupa

It is situated 13 kms away from Banaras in Sarnath. It is said to mark the spot where Buddha gave the first sermon to his first five Brahmin disciples fter attaing enlightenment.It is a pleasure to visit there.

All i found in Banaras that it has its own charm and beauty.One must go Once...
